Homework guidelines

In order to perform the final text about the inquiry of the instrument assigned to each student, follow the steps listed below:

1. Identify the object, acquire the picture, put the document into full text.
2. List the words which specifically identify the item and fully understand them
1. translate the terms into Italian language
2. transform units and measures into SI 
3. Understand the structure and the functioning of the object, by using:
1. general purpose Google search
2. analysis of the Google Patent portal
3. consult the engineering dictionaries available in the Politecnico Library
4. Depict a concise profile of the instrument's producer /manufacturer
5. Identify and describe in synthesis the previous history of the instrument
6. Trace the development of the instrument till today
7. Find in the literature (not technical) a passage where the instrument is present.
8. Prepare a list of consulted references and web sites.

Remind: it would be useful to open a Blog where to put the steps of the inquiry. The final text of the homework must be uploaded (as pdf with links) in "portale della didattica" not after June 17th, 2017.
